Tramore is a right handed track just under a mile in circumference the turns are sharp and favours a horse that has the pace to stay handy. There are five fences to a circuit on the chase course with a long downhill run to the second last which is just before the uphill finish where the run-in is around 160 yards.
Tramore is a very difficult ride as it is undulating throughout the circuit with you either going uphill or downhill all the way. Winners at the track have usually shown winning or placed form at Wexford, Clonmel, Killbegan,Thurles, Downpatrick, Ballinrobe or Limerick. I have discounted Wexford due to its proximity to Tramore and the fact that is left handed but the form at Kilbeggan and Limerick should be especially heeded as the standard times are very similar to Tramore.
The times at these tracks are close to average and the rate of incompletions are all below average which indicates the fences to be on the easy side.
