We will be transferring this update to an Archive section soon and have left this here just to let prospective members know how we work.

June 2019’s best bet was obviously the Stratford each way double on the 18th with Impressive Duke 11-2 and Our Jerry 6-1 both winning.
The total profit for June for the Winningpost team was +23.06 points.

July 2019‘s best bets were both on the same day with Bahlwan advised at 20-1 but winning at 14-1 at Down Royal and Mr Butler advised at 25-1 winning at 16-1 at Wexford.
The total profit for July for the Winningpost team was +9.8 points. The bonus this month is that several new members signed up having made a pretty penny on the selections given out. 🙂

August 2019’s best bet would have to be Majestic Maid advised at 10-1 but won at 20-1 due to best odds guaranteed being given on the race. Also Josephina advised at 14-1 taken at 9-1 but eventually won at 7-2.
The total for August for the Winningpost team was a profit of +14.88.

September 2019 was a difficult month but we still came out just ahead of the game with a +5.1 point profit on the month but the only real winner of note was the back on the 15th at Ffos Las with Good Impression advised at 18-1.

October 2019’s best bet undoubtably has to be October the 19th’s bet on Flow Away advised at 50-1 the night before and although subject to a huge 25% rule 4 was still a cracking winner and several members were on at big prices. 🙂
This means we ended October on a decent looking +22.5 point profit for the month.

November 2019’s best bets were most obviously Blaze A Trail winning at 20-1 on the 21st and Tremwedge being placed at 66-1 on the 17th.
This left us with a decent enough +13.85 point profit for the month.

December 2019’s best bet was the winning double taken on the 26th of December which consisted of Slate House at 7-2 and Epante at 4-1 which made December a profitable month finishing on +10.55 points which means by hook or crook we made a profit on every month in 2019. 🙂

January 2020’s best bet was the win double on Caravation and Cash Back at Naas on the 4th of January. This was the main reason we came out on top this month and means although only +8.64 points to the good this time, at least we have kept our heads above water as we go into the new year.

February 2020’s best bets were Julies Stowaway who won at 6-1 on the 16th of the month whilst on the 20th Barangorou who was originally 150-1 was backed at 50-1 without the favourite/s and ended up placed. Unfortunately this still only left us with a paltry +1.5 point

March 2020 it has to be said was a month of so close but yet so far away with a string of placed horses and the only decent winner as a single bet was Ferny Hollow at 12-1 on the 11th with several each way doubles being placed such as Darver Star 12-1 along with Beakstown 12-1 which although helped us come out on top again it was a small profit of just +5.4 points.

June 2020 ended with a decent looking +26.04 point profit which was mainly due to Mishriff 12-1 and Kameko 9-1 which both won for us on the 6th June and set the month up nicely.

July 2020 ended up with a +14.2 point profit which is nice but considering this months big winner was Elegant Lass at an SP of 50-1 we should have finished with a lot more had I not backed it at a shorter price without the favourites. 🙁

August 2020 finished up on +11.2 points thanks to the three 10-1 winners Misty Mountain, Baily Thunder and Blaze A Trail. 🙂

September 2020 was the best month to date since the site started and ended up +41.37 points up with Noble Joshua 14-1, Kitty Galore 22-1 (betting without the favourite/s) and Conquering Tara 14-1 (betting without the favourite/s) all winning. 🙂

October 2020 was dissapointing with a hatful of placed horses and the bets return on the month was Kitty Galore winning at 9-1 in the extra markets but we did manage to finish just ahead of the game at +4.05 points for the month.

November 2020 was a bad month where we scraped home on a +0.17 point profit and had to rely on Dragons Pass 9-1 to get us out of trouble. This can sometimes happen as the big yards send out there big guns and it becomes difficult to spot some value anywhere but that’s the best excuse I can come up with.:)

In December 2020 we had to wait until late in the month before we got lucky but at least we did it in style with two 16-1 winners thise being Key Commander on the 20th and Paint The Dream on the 29th which left us ona profit of +18.49 points.

January 2021 ended up being a decent month with both Miss Lamb 12-1 and Owl Creek Bridge 16-1 both being winning bets. Miss Lamb was a shorter price than SP but we had been betting without the favourite in that instance.
We finished on a not to shoddy +18.97 points for the month. 🙂

February 2021 was a dissapointment with a high proportion of our selections becoming non runners due to abandoned meetings but we did manage to keep our heads above water and scraped in with a +2.42 point profit mainly due to one of our Ten To Follow horses A Wave Of The Sea winning at 9-1.

March 2021 was another dissapointing month especially as we had such a decent batch of winners at the festival. However we did manage a couple of winners such as Siberian Star at 12-1 and Joeswayornoway at 9-1 which left us +1.14 points up which at least keeps our 100% record in tact.

April 2021 was one of our most profitable months to date making a whopping +40.77 point profit and although we had a nice few winners including Klassical Dream 12-1 and Hymie Weiss 22-1 (but advised at 12-1 betting without the favourite) the best results for me were the placed horses such as Clondaw Westie 150-1 Winter Fog 50-1 and Rain In Spain at 66-1.
Obviously the NH season has wound down now so the bets will be few and far between but we will be looking at other options to keep the pot boiling.

May 2021 was a landmark month for the site as we have now completed two years on this thread and managed to make a profit in all twenty two months (we missed two months due to the covid virus where no racing took place).
The month itself was nothing to shout about as we only finished +9.19 points up but I would have settled for that at the start of the month. The best winner was Ask Cory at 8-1 as most of the profit materialised from placed each way doubles.

June 2021 was a strange month as it finished early due to the Irish National Hunt season taking a ten day break but fortunately due to Better Than Heaven being a big 33-1 winner for us at Navan on the 16th we finished +16.56 points up.

July 2021 was an incredible journey as we had so many placed horses but with a few days ago were still looking for our first win and then we hit a cracking win double on She’s Some Doll 14-1 and A Wave Of The Sea also 14-1 closely followed by a win betting without the favourite/s on Aboutagoat at 11-1. This led to us having our best month to date with a huge +85.10 profit on the month.

August 2021 finished on a profit of +12.94 points and should have been more but due to work committments at the end of the month we missed posting our old mate Drumullagh Rocky who duly won at a tasty looking 12-1. But such is life and this left the biggest posted winner in August as Mullins Cross at 14-1 although we took the 17-2 betting without the favourite/s.

September 2021 was a decent enough month we finished +18.40 points up on the month with two decent priced winners in Kitty Galore advised at 18-1 and Majestic Maid advised at 12-1.

October 2021 was a disapointing month with more non runners than bets and was also the last month we will be posting onlne everyday for the time being as the site traffic has fallen away drastically. The best bet of the month was Kitty Galore who came in at 12-1 and for the second month running saved the month and means we finished +6.92 points up this month.

November 2021 had some nice winners notably Gold Creek at 25-1 which although brought us a nice profit for the month cannot be used on here as it was restricted to members only.
We will review that situation on a monthly basis but it will remain as it stands for the time being.

It has been a while since we activated this thread but it will come back into play after a site revamp in the coming months but in a new format.
Any existing members (or new members on a trial basis) wishing to take a more active role please just drop me a line as usual.

In the meantime, as I am on here, there are a couple of old favourites we have won on before who look overdue today at Kilbeggan. Both are returning to hurdles after unflattering efforts over fences and both look good value with both being available at generous prices for extra places.

Nothing doing today as both ran unfortunately to form but such is life.
We will keep this thread alive just for fun over at Kilbeggan tomorrow then we will lay this thread back to rest and head back to the Beat The Lotto thread for the weekend.
There is not much to go on but Presenting Dylan in the 7.00 at 20-1 for 5 places looks worth a second glance. If this becomes a non runner or you fancy dipping your toe in the water elsewhere you could try Robyndeglory at 16-1 for 6 places in the 5.00. 🙂

We will be heading back to the Beat The Lotto Thread today but it was nice to see Robyndeglory grab sixth at 22-1 which at least kept the last few days honest by making us a +3.2 point profit on the day. 🙂

We have now started to strip out a lot of the old threads with a view to kicking them in again when the revamp takes place, but will try and keep a few like this running for the time being. 🙂
This week sees the Punchestown in full swing so we will offer a few each way options each day where possible and will update the thread this afternoon.

4.15 Mighty Potter @ 9-1 (assuming all five go to post)

With no signifcant non runners all bets are on and although I did stress all were each way bets it was really nice to see the first one win. 🙂
I will be the first to admit I did only expect a place and with BOG on the the two five runner races it was the icing on the cake to have Mighty Potter drift in the market and payout at an SP of 20-1. 🙂

Lets hope we can follow that up this afternoon with at the very least another place or two. ?

Well after our lucky turn with the SP on Mighty Potter came the bad luck when Elegant Lass who was travelling really well in joint fourth just two out, clipped the heels of the horse in front stumbled and unseated the jockey.
But such is life Envoi Allen was third but obviously that was not good enough and although Michael’s Pick also dissapointed Jumping Susie did us proud with both the extra place bets coming in. For those who took the straight bet it was an even better return as Jumping Susie placed at 125-1.
We can only claim the extra place bets there but that still means we finished a very tidy +26.5 points up on the day.
This leaves us well up and with four more days of the festival to go we should manage to come out with a half decent profit.

For tomorrow we have just the two selections both in the opening race at Punchestown

3.40 Skippin Court @ 66-1 for 6 places (taken tonight)
3.40 Mr Moondance 100-1 (but we will be looking into the extra place markets when they are available for our bet andf will update as soon as possible).

Skippin Court lost and Mr Moodance was a non runner yesterday so we ended up dropping a couple of points but we live to fight another day and are still well up.
We obviously remain at Punchestown and to start the day off we will go with the following

3.40 Luke Short @ 15-2 for 7 places
4.50 Potters Corner @ 8-1 for 5 places

We may go in again later dependent on non runnners with either or in the following

6.00 City Chief 13-2 and/or A Great View 25-1 both for 8 places

We now have a possible option in the 7.10 but I will be home from work for that race. We will be looking at one of the following Lilith 17-2 That’s Lifebuoy 25-1 or Exit To The West 33-1. (However as there are only 4 places in the 7.10 we will be looking at only one in that race).
We have taken the plunge on both of the selections in the 6.00 and hope we have not taken a step to far today.?

I will admit I thought we may have gone a step too far by taking both the runners in the 6.00 but with A Great View winning taken at 25-1 and City Chief being placed taken at 13-2 we have had another cracking day at the office.
This means we have plenty of money in the pot so will take a punt on both of these in the 7.10

We have missed the boat with the prices here but up until the win in the last race we were not certain to even have a punt here earlier in the day. 🙁

Lilith won taken at 15-2 and Exit To The West placed at 25-1. Add this on to the previous winner and place from our earlier bets and we cleared a profit of +39.30 points today.  🙂
This means going into the final two days of both the month and the Punchestown meeting we are now up by +63.80 points.
I am unfortuately working tomorrow so will not be able to savour the moment but obviously must have a punt to see if we cannot beat our record month. Obviously we are staying at Punchestown and with little chance for an update tomorrow I will list all my final selections tonight.

Well after the Lord Mayor’s show comes the dung cart and yesterday was that day. 🙁
Imitation Game came close but the only other good thing was that due to non runners two of the bets became win singles only. But this still means we lost six points and now stand at +57.80 points up for the festival/month.
Unfortunately we do not have a lot on for today and will start the site revamp next week so the threads may go a little quiet after todays wagers.
Obviously both are at Punchestown and we have taken these two as each way singles.

We lost the last wager in May which means we ended up +55.80 points up for the festival/month but I am more than happy with that. 🙂
We will be closing/removing/editing some articles and threads, but will throw the odd selection on here from time to time until the revamp of the site is completed.
As you can see we are starting to adapt the thread back to a forum/tip section by introducing a few comments please feel free to join in. 🙂

That was a bit better as we got four legs of the placepot up at low stakes which worked out as follows (for those who missed the original thread).

Leg 1 No 11 = 1 bet
Leg 2 No’s 3+9+16 = 3 bets
Leg 3 No’s 10+15 = 2 bets
Leg 4 No’s 7+9 = 2 bets
Leg 5 No’s 2+9 = 2 bets
leg 6 No 4 = 1 bet
This meant that at 1/4 point per bet we had laid out 6 points as we had selected 1x3x2x2x2x1 = 24 bets(24x 1/4 = 6)
The selections highlighted placed so the return was 1x1x1x2x2x1 = 4 dividends
The tote divdend paid 31.1 points to every 1 point bet we had 4 dividends which means we had (4x 1/4 = 1) a 1 point dividend return of 31.1.
We then deduct our outlay of 6 points which gives us a tidy enough +25.1 point profit on the day 🙂

We have left this post in just to show how a placepot works, especially as it was one of the best bets for May which ended up +27.8 points up.
